These unique qualities create a rich and exceptionally beautiful texture that changes and adapts in various lighting conditions producing a characteristic vintage velvet look and feel.
Old Boot’s Vintage Fabric is unique and luxurious velvet. It has a subtle horizontal effect and distinctive lustre giving a unique matt sheen that produces incredible depth of colour and variety of shades. The yarn is spun to create a subtle irregular slub, which is so fine it does not open the pile surface giving a dense and even texture that is soft and luxurious to the touch. Made from 100% cotton and woven in England, this sophisticated velvet is 40,000 rub tested and is recommended for domestic as well as commercial use. Luxurious yet durable, like all distinctive velvets it will show up some scuffs and brush marks over time – but that’s why we love it, vintage velvet with character.
